I have Starlink on my property. Now what?
We get a lot of calls from rural properties wanting to distribute the Starlink Internet from the main house to outlying buildings.
Easy!
Generally we will recommend one of our pre-configured Point-to-Multi-Point (PtMP) products.
- Pre-configured. We do all the work of configuring up your hardware to Ubiquiti's best practice, including very strong security. All you need to do is provide mounting poles, attach the antennas, and run cables from the outside antennas to inside the buildings.
- 120 and 360 degree coverage options.
- Distances up to 1600 m.
- Extends the 'main house' Internet to any number of buildings. In the outlying buildings you can then add WiFi, PCs, Cameras, monitoring equipment, ... as needed.
- Solar options available. We can also help when the end point is has no power; e.g. a remote camera.
Keep in Mind
The radio technology used in these links requires Clear Line-of-Sight (CLOS). That means no trees/buildings/hills/... between the Basestation and Client antennas. Having said that: short distances (20m?) with some trees in the way might still work.
