Extend your house WiFi to the inside & outside of your shed.
Description
This product is ideal if you have a shed requiring WiFi, but the signal inside the shed (from the nearby house) is poor or non-existant.
- Connects (typically over 15 m, but possibly further) to the home WiFi using an external antenna,
- Provides a new WiFi signal both inside and outside the shed,
- Provides 5 wired LAN ports inside the shed.
Data speeds up to 16 Mbps are supported between house & shed; more than fast enough for general WWW browsing, and video. See here for Netflix bandwidth requirements.
Requirements
- WiFi Reception outside your shed: Standing just outside your shed on the side facing your house, you must see at least 1-bar of WiFi signal on (e.g.) your phone.
- Metal mounting point outside shed for the included antenna: This product includes a magnetic-base antenna with an extension cable of 3 m. You will need to mount the antenna outside the shed, and pass the antenna cable back into the shed.
Features
- Fast. Data transfer speeds up to 16 Mbps are supported. This is more than needed for video streaming (e.g. Netflix).
- Easy setup. We include an easy to follow setup guide to get this product connected to your home WiFi, and providing Shed WiFi.
- Outdoor WiFi. The external antenna not only picks up the WiFi from the house, but also provides a new WiFi Access Point (AP) signal for the outside area.
- Wired devices in shed supported. In addition to the WiFi signal provided in the shed, there are 5 physical LAN ports available. These can be used to plug in devices such as LAN printers, PCs, smart TVs, etc.
