So, packaging was perfect. Hooked it up to my network. It had version 5.6.0.11463 of firmware.
That's a beta version. It's meant to match the UniFi Controller 6.X, not 5.14.X which means my controller wanted it downgrade the firmware to 4.3.20.11298.
I took the plunge and downgraded it, and it seems to be OK. I'll update to the later version once I'm confident that the 6.X series of software is stable.
