StarLink is installed.
Now what?
We get many calls from owners of rural properties that are enjoying an upgrade from the slow Sky Muster satellite connection to a new Star Link connection.
The faster Internet opens up new opportunities to link other buildings on the same property to share the Internet connection and add new functionality such as cameras, temperature sensors, remote on/off relays, etc with remote monitoring.

UBWH has a number of wireless Point-to-Point (PtP) and Point-to-Multi-Point (PtMP) solutions that are ideal for extending the Main House Internet to one or more buildings.
All of our PtP & PtMP kits:
- Ship pre-confgured and pre-tested. No technical skills needed onsite.
- Are highly secure. Every product set has unique security keys (passwords) assigned that are used to encrypt the data flowing across the wireless link(s)
- Are fast. If 220 Mbps means nothing to you, just be aware that these wireless links are faster than 99% of NBN connections in the cities.
- Are reasonably priced. A typical 3-building network is about $250 per building.

- The base-station antennas come with various coverage patterns
- Off-the-Shelf products, that can ship same day.

1. Authorised Ubiquiti RMA Centre for Australia. We have worked closely with Ubiquiti USA to set this up. When you lodge warranties with us and send the faulty item back, we send you a new one from our stock. No more lengthy turn around times. View the new RMA form here.
2. Same Day Dispatch. Our new warehouse will dispatch orders the same day in 98% of cases, for orders paid before 12.30pm AEST and shipped by Australia Post. Occasionally, large orders will cause a delay until the next business day.
If critical, please contact us prior to ordering. We will update you on the days proceedings and will endeavor to have your paid order dispatched same day.
3. Extended Warranties on everything we sell. Optional 2 and 3 year warranties are in addition to the normal Manufacturer's Warranty, plus the Consumer Guarantee required by Australian Consumer Law (ACL) for all Australian Consumers, at a small cost. These can be selected during the checkout process at http://ubwh.com.au
4. Pre and Post Sales Support. As a customer of ours, you have access to our high standard of pre and post sales support. Whether you need a design checked over, product recommendation or help setting up we can help. Contact us.
5. Credit Card Security
There has been a lot of unfortunate reports lately of high profile hacks into large organisations. Did you know we do NOT store your credit card details on any of our servers - so those details can not be stolen from us.
For your protection and peace of mind, we use a card processing provider that has been certified to the highest level of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

Hint: The Ubiquiti UniFi Design Center
Ubiquiti has a free online tool that will allow you to simulate a UniFi network before you buy.
Of particular use is the WiFi Heatmap view. You can create a floorplan, with walls. Then add UniFi WiFi APs and move them around while viewing the predicted signal levels.
Cameras, Network switches, etc are also supported.

Online Training
New course: UniFi V7 - Course 1
New course: UniFi V7 - Course 2
In a world's first, Online training (developed in Australia) is now available for the Ubiquiti products shown.
You benefit in a number of ways:
- Cheaper - than attending a formal 2-day course in a classroom environment.
- Faster - no need to wait until the next classroom course is scheduled nearby.
- More convenient - the self-paced courses can be scheduled around other demanding work.
- More practical - the Ubiquiti classroom courses are great for students needing to delve deep into theory such as Radio Waves, Antenna design, TDMA protocols, Link-Budgets, UniFi-WiFi site surveys, etc. But in many cases, students just want to know how to setup some very common scenarios. These Installer courses are targeted with less theory and more practice.
The way each course works is ... each student:
- signs up and receives by email a set of detailed course notes. These can be kept as a reference document for use later on-the-job.
- is allocated real test hardware for 7 days. This is hardware the student gets to configure (over the Internet).
- passes an online quiz for each module. When all module quizzes have been passed, the student gets emailed a Certificate of Completion.
