Product Highlight - UniFi XG
With the U6-LR delayed until later next month, we have introduced special pricing on the UAP-XG. The UniFi XG, the world's highest capacity WiFi AP, is an 802.11AC Wave 2 quad-radio WiFi AP with 10 gigabit ethernet and 1,500 client capacity support. Boasting 4 x 4 spatial streams, this unit is capable of speeds of up to 800Mbps on the 2.4Ghz band, and 1733 Mbps on the 5Ghz band.

UniFi 4-port 802.3at XG Switch
Layer 2 switch with (4) 10GbE RJ45 ports and (1) GbE, 802.3at PoE+ RJ45 input.
The Switch Flex XG (USW Flex XG) is a fully managed, multi-gigabit, Layer 2 switch with (4) 10GbE RJ45 ports and (1) GbE PoE input. The USW Flex XG sports slim, compact housing and can be mounted on a desktop (Do not stack other hardware on the USW Flex XG). This switch can also be monitored or configured from anywhere with the powerful, intuitive UniFi Network web application and mobile app.

24-48V Solar UPS PoE Switch V3
Version 3 of this popular solar switch. This switch is ideal for solar installations or where battery backup is required. Five (5) 802.3af/at PoE Ports, two (2) 24/48 V selectable PoE Ports, and one (1) SFP Port.
You connect:
- [optional] Solar panel (not included)
- [optional] 12 or 24 V Battery (not included. Lead-acid, or Lithium (Li-ion or LiPo))
- [optional] DC Power supply (not included)
- A mix of 24 and 48 V POE devices.
The battery is charged if one or both of the Solar or DC inputs is/are active.

First foray into Protect
"I've been using a Ring Doorbell for a few years now and was always disappointed on how the product works and having to pay subscription fee for the pleasure of using it. So, as a first step I purchased a Cloud Key plus and a G3 flex. Since the Ring can't see my driveway, I figured a good first spot . The driveway is small and the camera would easily be able to see the entire area."

Update On My Small Home Network Setup
"I have been using my UDMB to run my home/office network now for a while now, and over the last few months, I have expanded its functionality since my last story post.
When I started I had 4 Vlans, these have now expanded to eight, and I have stopped using the built-in content filtering, as I have been testing other products for this."

Tip: UniFi - How to enable remote access
You can enable remote access to manage multiple UniFi Networks and applications at the same time, even when they're not physically connected to any of those networks. A locally installed UniFi Network application, a Ubiquiti account, and a connection to the internet are required to access the applications remotely. The Remote Access Portal for UniFi OS host devices can be accessed via unifi.ui.com.

Online Training
New course: UniFi V6 - Course 1
In a world's first, Online training (developed in Australia) is now available for the Ubiquiti products shown.
You benefit in a number of ways:
- Cheaper - than attending a formal 2-day course in a classroom environment.
- Faster - no need to wait until the next classroom course is scheduled nearby.
- More convenient - the self-paced courses can be scheduled around other demanding work.
- More practical - the Ubiquiti classroom courses are great for students needing to delve deep into theory such as Radio Waves, Antenna design, TDMA protocols, Link-Budgets, UniFi-WiFi site surveys, etc. But in many cases, students just want to know how to setup some very common scenarios. These Installer courses are targeted with less theory and more practice.
The way each course works is ... each student:
- signs up and receives by email a set of detailed course notes. These can be kept as a reference document for use later on-the-job.
- is allocated real test hardware for 7 days. This is hardware the student gets to configure (over the Internet).
- passes an online quiz for each module. When all module quizzes have been passed, the student gets emailed a Certificate of Completion.
