The Gen2 LiteBeam is the latest evolution of a lightweight and compact, outdoor wireless broadband product from Ubiquiti Networks. The updated version has the same performance as the cheaper LBE-5AC-23, but also includes a Management Wi-Fi Radio, improved mounting and increased surge protection. Receive transmit signal has also been improved on the new model, creating reliable long distance links.

IsoStation 5AC
Shielded airMAX AC Radio with 45° Isolation Antenna and dedicated Wi-Fi management for fast and easy setup using your mobile device.
Improved Noise Immunity
The IsoStation 5AC provides high isolation solutions in fixed beamwidth increments through interchangeable horn antennas that have been optimized for an urban environment. The tailored antenna radiation patterns spatially filters both in-band and out-of-band spurious RF emissions to increase the noise immunity of the IsoStation 5AC. This feature is especially important in an increasingly congested RF environment.
Modular Design
With flexible sectorisation for optional antenna beamwidths, the horn antenna is interchangeable and improves beam‑shaping for specific deployment and environment needs. The IsoStation 5AC uses horn antenna sectors designed for increased co-location performance without sacrificing gain.
Symmetrical Antennas
Symmetrical horn antennas (45° included, 30° sold separately) offer breakthrough scalability options for wireless systems. They are ideal for cluster sector installations with high co-location requirements.
Unique beam performance and great co-location characteristics allow for a higher density of sectors than traditional sector technology.
Asymmetrical Antennas
Asymmetrical horn antennas (60° and 90° versions sold separately) are designed to have attenuated side lobes and extremely low back radiation. They offer best front-to-back ratio in the industry and the lowest side lobe radiation.
Separate Antenna Availability
This Antenna ships with a 45° Symmetrical horn antenna. The other antenna attachments (30° Symmetrical horn and 60° and 90° Asymmetrical horns) are not available at this time. Monitor the website for expected arrival times.

Gen2 UMobile makes airMax setup easy
The new 2.4GHz management radio and UMobile makes things extremely easy. The GEN2's have a special 2nd 2.4GHz wifi radio that lets you directly log into the gen2 device (using a handheld phone or laptop) in order to configure or manage them.

Story Of The Month
Rocket AC Prism Gen2 Success!
The user replaced two Rocket M5 AC Lite units with the Rocket AC Prism Gen 2 units and saw an improvement from about 80 Mbps to 320 Mbps on a 40 MHz channel width. They were quick swap outs using the same AC antennas as before.

Online Training
The UniFi Course has been upgraded and is now based on Version 4 of the Controller and runs on a CloudKey.
In a world's first, Online training (developed in Australia) is now available for the Ubiquiti products shown.
You benefit in a number of ways:
- Cheaper - than attending a formal 2-day course in a classroom environment.
- Faster - no need to wait until the next classroom course is scheduled nearby.
- More convenient - the self-paced courses can be scheduled around other demanding work.
- More practical - the Ubiquiti classroom courses are great for students needing to delve deep into theory such as Radio Waves, Antenna design, TDMA protocols, Link-Budgets, UniFi-WiFi site surveys, etc. But in many cases, students just want to know how to setup some very common scenarios. These Installer courses are targeted with less theory and more practice.
The way each course works is ... each student:
- signs up and receives by email a set of detailed course notes. These can be kept as a reference document for use later on-the-job.
- is allocated real test hardware for 7 days. This is hardware the student gets to configure (over the Internet).
- passes an online quiz for each module. When all module quizzes have been passed, the student gets emailed a Certificate of Completion.
