The EdgeRouter-X is an advanced Gigabit Ethernet Router. The EdgeRouter-X delivers cost-effective routing performance in an ultra‑compact form factor.
As part of the EdgeMAX platform, the EdgeRouter X is a reliable and great value network router. This model features a compact design and can be configured for the routing, security and management features you require.
The EdgeRouter X model offers:
- 5 Gigabit RJ45 ports.
- Australian 12V , 0.5A (6W) power supply included. This can only power the ER-X. It does not provide POE out.
- Passive PoE passthrough option (POE adapter not included)
- Power via 24V passive PoE (not included), or 12V power supply (included).
- Ports configurable for line-rate, Layer-2 switching.
- 260 kpps for 64-byte packets.
- 1 Gbps for 1518-byte packets
EdgeOS™- Advanced UI
The intuitive, graphical user interface is easy to learn and makes routing features simple to configure and monitor. It includes an integrated Command-Line Interface (CLI) for convenient access to advanced functions, standard Linux tools, and shell commands. EdgeOS can be accessed via a network port and web browser, allowing you to view IP information, MTU, transmit and receive speeds, ports, connectivity and status in the dashboards.
Versatile PoE Capability
The EdgeRouter™X features a passive PoE passthrough option to power an airMAX® device. To use this feature, you need to provide a 24V POE supply (e.g. a Ubiquiti 24V POE Injector). See the datasheet for more details.
